Daumen hoch für Flüssigkeiten!

Mein Name ist Mustafa Bhotvawala. Ich habe einen guten Teil des letzten halben Jahrzehnts an numerisch-mathematischen Problemen gearbeitet, wobei CFD-Probleme (Numerische Strömungsmechanik) einen Großteil meiner Zeit in Anspruch genommen haben. Ich wechsle zwischen der Mathematik und der Programmierung - wobei die aktive Entwicklung wichtiger Open-Source- und kommerzieller CFD-Solver nun den Schwerpunkt des letzten Teils meines Lebens darstellt.

Sie sind wahrscheinlich hier, weil ich auch schreibe - ich unterrichte gerne und Sie haben wahrscheinlich schon einige Instruktionsarbeiten von mir im Interweb herumfliegen sehen. Diese Seite sammelt alle Anleitungen und Leitfäden, die ich für mich selbst geschrieben habe und die für jeden anderen in diesem Bereich nützlich sein könnten.

Ausgewählte Forschungsarbeiten

I like computers and writing about them. I interact with them primarily through my interest in scientific computation. This is easiest when demonstrated to students of the field through open source tools like OpenFOAM, though I occasionally do write about other solvers. My course “Introduction to OpenFOAM Development” is hosted on one of the largest MOOC platforms in the world.

I currently work for ANSYS Inc. as a developer for our Fluent software. This is on the back of industry stints at R&D divisions of Ford Motor Company and Volkswagen AG. Furthermore, I hold a masters degree in Computational Science from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany, where I specialized in CFD and High Performance Computing (HPC).
